How Olverix Came to Be
Olverix began from a straightforward observation: many adults in Singapore reach their mid-forties with a working life behind them, ageing parents ahead of them, and very little vocabulary for the documents and structures they are expected to navigate. Estate arrangements, CPF nominations, household obligation mapping — the terminology exists, but the space to read and discuss it, without a product sale attached, rarely does.
The organisation was established to fill precisely that space. Our programmes are not courses in the conventional sense. They are structured reading experiences — pre-distributed material, small discussion groups, printed reference items — designed for people who prefer to arrive at understanding through careful reading and honest conversation.
We work with participants who range from professionals considering their later career to adults recently retired who want to review their household arrangements with more vocabulary than they currently have. The common thread is not age or income — it is a preference for learning that respects their intelligence and their time.
Olverix operates from Shenton Way, in the financial district of Singapore, which is where most of the frameworks we discuss were written. Our location is deliberate; it keeps us close to the documentation landscape our participants are navigating.

Lim Teck Hwee
Spent fifteen years writing plain-language documentation for financial institutions before turning to adult education. Oversees curriculum design and reading material development at Olverix.
Rachel Ng
Trained in adult facilitation methodology and has led reading discussion groups across Singapore for over a decade. Manages cohort sessions and participant experience across all programmes.
Sunita Arora
Brings a background in professional publishing and reference material design. Responsible for the printed reading binders, glossary cards, and workbooks that accompany each Olverix programme.
How We Maintain Programme Quality
Every aspect of an Olverix programme is reviewed before cohort delivery — materials, facilitation approach, participant experience, and factual accuracy of content.
Material Accuracy Review
All reading material is reviewed for factual accuracy against current Singapore regulatory publications before each cohort intake. Terminology is cross-checked against MAS and CPF Board documentation.
Facilitator Standards
Facilitators follow a structured discussion methodology designed to draw out participant reflection rather than direct interpretation. Sessions are not lectures; the facilitator's role is to guide the reading, not replace it.
Cohort Size Control
We cap cohort sizes per programme to protect discussion quality. When demand exceeds capacity, we run additional intakes rather than enlarging groups beyond the specified maximum.
Privacy & Data Handling
Participant data is held in accordance with Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act. We do not share participant information with third parties and retain only what is necessary to administer the programme.
No Commercial Referrals
Olverix does not accept referral arrangements from financial product providers. We have no commercial relationships that could influence programme content or session discussions.
Post-Cohort Review
After each programme intake, we review participant feedback and facilitator notes to identify any areas for material improvement. Programmes are updated on a rolling basis.
What Olverix Brings to Adult Financial Education in Singapore
The financial landscape in Singapore is well-documented, but those documents — the CPF Life schedules, the LPA forms, the SRS contribution guides — are written for professionals who already speak the language. Adults approaching these topics for the first time face a vocabulary gap that slows down their ability to have meaningful conversations with lawyers, financial planners, or their own family members.
Olverix programmes are written to close that gap, not by simplifying the topic into a slideshow, but by sitting with the vocabulary long enough for participants to recognise it in context. Our reading binders use the same terminology found in Singapore's official documentation; our glossary cards define terms in plain language without distorting their meaning; our facilitators are trained to surface questions rather than provide answers.
Adults aged 40 and above in Singapore are navigating some of the most consequential paperwork of their lives — estate arrangements, care planning, household obligation mapping, and retirement income decisions. They deserve a space to read, discuss, and build confidence with these materials before they walk into a solicitor's office or a CPF Service Centre. That is what Olverix provides.
